It’s official!

We’ve known for a while now that we were successful in our archive service accreditation application – we were told towards the end of November last year. But now we’ve got the certificate to prove it!

On Tuesday night, the National Records of Scotland hosted an evening reception where we were presented our certificate by Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs. Louise and I represented LHSA, and Jacky MacBeath (Head of Museums) and Stuart Lewis (Acting Director of Library and University Collections and Head of Research and Learning Services) joined us from the University. And of course we were delighted to be there with the other recipients of certificates from Falkirk Archives and, our hosts, the National Records of  Scotland.

The official photographer for the evening captured the moment (from left to right: Jacky, me, Fiona Hyslop, Louise and Stuart.

And Stuart, our unofficial photographer, got another of us with the certificate….now where to hang it?
